Our Methane Reduction Program reduces oil and gas emissions in Alberta. We are excited to partner with new companies in the United States and around the globe to design new, individualized programs.
The award-winning Methane Reduction Program was implemented in Alberta in November 2017. The program has retrofitted more than 10,000 high-bleed pneumatic devices with low-venting alternatives. This will reduce approximately 500,000 tonnes of CO2e per year, which is the same as removing over 100,000 cars off the road. The program has saved producers over $6M in equipment and installation costs.
