April 24, 2019 – Bluesource has achieved Climate Registered™ status for the 10th consecutive year. Following a process of measuring its carbon footprint according to The Climate Registry’s best-in-class program, the data is then third-party verified and publicly reported on The Climate Registry’s website.
Measuring their carbon footprint with The Climate Registry allows Bluesource to be more efficient, identify opportunities for reducing emissions, and provide meaningful data to their customers about their own environmental performance.
Since 1996, Bluesource has been creating strategic emissions reduction projects for businesses, non-profits, and other NGO’s. It has deep expertise in carbon capture and storage, forestry, transportation, energy efficiency and food processing along with significant environmental market positions in energy production, ODS, mine methane and energy efficient cook stoves in developing countries. As a leader in the environmental markets, Bluesource is as committed to reducing its own emissions as it is to those of the companies with which it partners. Learn more at www.bluesource.com.
“Every change has a beginning. We desire to see our partners, clients, counterparties and our competitors achieve consistently bold goals in improving our environment. And, we believe great change for good is becoming a reality” said Kevin Townsend, Bluesource’s Chief Commercial Officer.
“We applaud Bluesource’s leadership in recognizing that there are environmental and economic benefits to understanding and managing their carbon footprint,” said Ann McCabe, Interim Executive Director of The Climate Registry. “In light of the IPCC’s recent report confirming we have a decade to act on climate change, measuring and being accountable for your carbon footprint is a tremendously important step.”
