About the Position
As Marketing and Communications Manager, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will oversee creation, development and implementation of corporate marketing and communications strategies.  You will build marketing programs to support specific objectives across different channels and segments, play a key role in creating positive associations with Bluesource and its products in the marketplace, and implement and refine the company’s communications strategy, including a cohesive outward expression strategy.  This role will allow you to create and contribute to our overall business strategy and improve our brand awareness.

Marketing-Related Duties:

  • Evaluate the impact of marketing strategies and programs in achieving their stated objectives
  • Determine Key Performance Indicators for discrete marketing campaigns and generate reports
  • Creatively address our core commercial team business challenges
  • Create responsive marketing strategies to patterns and trends identified by Commercial Team and other departments
  • Oversee Development of:
    • Creative ways to reach and engage new customers
    • Landing pages, Adword campaigns, other paid placement or paid advertising initiatives
    • A new eCommerce portion of the Bluesource website
    • Conference experiences for existing and prospective clients
  • Apply for industry leadership awards
  • Revise existing case studies for company’s current messaging and create new case studies as needed
  • Develop and implement plan to grow newsletter and webinar audience and conversions

Communications-Related Duties:

  • Determine strategic communications campaigns that will help further organizational goals
  • Refine brand awareness and outward expression strategies, including SEO
  • Stay current on media reports on offsets and Nature-Based Solutions, disseminate key points to the organization, coordinate response and reporter engagement if need be
  • Manage relationship with and implement recommendations of Bluesource’s PR firm
  • Direct media engagement efforts and manage reporter relationships
  • Design and lead specific business unit campaigns (e.g. Regenerative agriculture, Neutral By Blue, Bluesource Methane) with the help of applicable departments
  • Contribute to the creation of marketing and communications collateral to ensure that it is consistent with the organization’s brand, including white papers, website copy, and more
  • Reach out to influencers, media and beyond in order to arrange story/op-ed/feature/press release placement on a national and global level
  • Provide communications assistance and guidance to clients in conjunction with Advisory Team
  • Draft responses and statements to media and press, including “crisis” communications events
  • Lead internal positive press initiatives and liaise with other stakeholders in the industry

About the Position
As Marketing and Communications Specialist, reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will join Bluesource’s Commercial Team where your core focus will be the execution of our marketing and communications strategies.  The projects you will participate in support the company as it assists corporate clients with meeting ambitious climate goals.  You will play a key role in ensuring the consistency, quality, and integrity of our work product and outward expression in the marketplace.  You will be responsible for maintaining functionality and updating company assets like the website and marketing materials, as well as creating a plethora of new assets to assist the growing business as it takes on new initiatives.  This role will allow you to creatively implement the company’s strategy as it seeks to improve our overall brand awareness.

About the Position:

As a Carbon Solutions Analyst I, you will join our growing technical and advisory services team where your core focus will be to contribute to a variety of our project types across our client and project portfolios. You will play a key role in quantifying greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and working with emerging technologies in oil and gas, energy efficiency, agriculture, biogas, methane reduction, biomass, wind power, and waste heat recovery applications. You’ll enjoy significant responsibility for the management of your own projects within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

You will also have significant responsibility for the management of individual projects and will have the opportunity to travel within Alberta, other provinces and potentially the United States to see first-hand the exciting projects you are working on.

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies*:

About the Position

As the Director, Natural Climate Solutions Project Origination, you will join our growing carbon offset origination team where your core focus will be on originating forest carbon and grasslands conservation offset projects across Canada. Bluesource partners with forest and grassland landowners, Indigenous communities, ranchers, community forests, and conservation trusts to help them monetize the carbon sequestration benefits associated with the sustainable management of their lands. The project origination role involves securing client relationships and partnerships to provide these landowners with offset project development, marketing and monetization services.  Given the nature of the partnerships, the business development function requires significant relationship building, education on offsets, technical guidance, environmental market expertise, and contract negotiation. The individual in this role will be on the front line of climate action by educating land stewards across the country on carbon and enabling the protection of natural ecosystems by leveraging the financial value of carbon sequestration.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies*:
