About the Position
As Marketing and Communications Specialist, reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will join Bluesource’s Commercial Team where your core focus will be the execution of our marketing and communications strategies.  The projects you will participate in support the company as it assists corporate clients with meeting ambitious climate goals.  You will play a key role in ensuring the consistency, quality, and integrity of our work product and outward expression in the marketplace.  You will be responsible for maintaining functionality and updating company assets like the website and marketing materials, as well as creating a plethora of new assets to assist the growing business as it takes on new initiatives.  This role will allow you to creatively implement the company’s strategy as it seeks to improve our overall brand awareness.

Marketing-Related Duties:

  • Develop, update, and manage dynamic assets (e.g. custom project maps, proposals) and static assets (e.g. project teasers, flyers, graphics)
  • Coordination of Newsletters, Webinars and Blog content, including soliciting written content from across the organization, editing proofing and posting.
  • Maintain and optimize website, including updating key metrics, project maps, team member pages
  • Develop & build new eCommerce site
  • Write and manage social media scripts and accounts
  • Manage and improve the company’s SEO results and implement other brand awareness strategies
  • Manage Google AdWords campaigns and other paid advertising initiatives, ensure budget conformance
  • Maintain existing library of project pictures and videos. Create/edit new video content for individual project marketing and company initiatives
  • Create conference materials (booth design, handouts, swag)

Communications-Related Duties:

  • Track news related to offsets and carbon markets
  • Create case studies, white papers, and flyers that demonstrate our expertise
  • Provide communications and graphic design assistance for Commercial and Advisory clients
  • Draft responses and statements to media and press, including “crisis” communications events and comments on stories
  • Draft press releases on behalf of Bluesource and our clients
  • Write blog content for Bluesource clients
  • Manage communications relationships with industry affiliates and partners (e.g. 1t.org)
  • Identify newsworthy stories within the organization and pitch to Marketing and Communications Manager

Required Education, Experience and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Adept with Adobe Suite products, especially Illustrator, LightRoom, and Premiere Pro
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Knowledge of web builder platforms like Elementor
  • Experience with WebOps platforms

General Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Director of RNG Business Development to identify potential opportunities in RNG markets, including but not limited to voluntary, compliance (RFS, LCFS, BCLCFS, etc.), and pre-compliance for upcoming regulatory programs.

 

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies*:

• Build market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships related to RNG production facilities, CNG dispensing stations, and other electrification opportunities
• Analyze various RNG markets and market trends to identify potential growth opportunities

General Summary

Bluesource seeks a Director of Forest Carbon Project Origination to play a lead role in identifying viable forest carbon projects and contracting with landowners to create climate benefits via forest management.  Offset credits generated from these projects will be sold in the voluntary and compliance carbon markets in North America.  The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the sales experience and forestry technical skills to effectively communicate the opportunity to landowners.  This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sales professional interested in creating value for landowners through participation in environmental markets. 

 

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies*:

  • Quickly develop sufficient expertise in forest carbon markets and methodologies to assume ownership of a pipeline of approximately 100 different forest carbon opportunities.
  • Contract with landowners interested in participating in the compliance or voluntary carbon markets in North America.
  • Generate early leads and manage a pipeline of project opportunities through contracting.
  • Effectively articulate to landowners the benefits and responsibilities associated with participation in carbon markets.
  • Attend conferences and client visits as needed to close forest carbon project opportunities.
  • Understand and stay current on climate policy as it relates to land-based sequestration.

Required Education, Experience and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in forestry or another applicable discipline
  • 4 or more years of professional experience in forestry or forest carbon-related field
  • 2 or more years of sales, fundraising, origination, or proposal writing experience. Ideally including managing targets, pipelines, project tracking, deliverables, etc
  • Possess existing relationships with landowners (public, private, tribal) that will allow the candidate to ‘hit the ground running’ in outreach to potential landowners
    • Strong relationships with tribal forestland managers/administrators a plus
  • Comfortable in being tenacious and organized in navigating through the sales cycle of contracting with an interested landowner
  • Be a creative self-starter prepared to own and achieve annual volume targets
  • Advanced knowledge of forest carbon policy, carbon protocols (compliance and voluntary), and carbon accounting standards
  • Expertise in project management and ability to coordinate among various stakeholders
  • Travel <10%

Preferred Education, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in forestry or another applicable discipline
  • Professional Forester credentials
  • Strong relationships with tribal forestland managers/administrators
