Though our offerings have expanded along with environmental markets, three key services have always been the cornerstone of our business: facilitating transactions in environmental markets, strategic and tactical advisory services and capital formation.
In 1996, our founders began as pioneers in the emerging greenhouse gas markets, and Bluesource was formally organized in 2001. Today, we develop high quality environmental products from over 20 different technologies in over 100 locations, across the United States and Canada.
We are a strategic partner and advisor for some of the world’s largest companies, empowering them to take their next step toward environmental action. We provide access to the world’s leading environmental attribute platforms and guidance on how to navigate them. We are experts at putting capital to work in environmental and energy markets, having raised hundreds of millions of dollars of debt and equity. Bluesource is your connection to voluntary, compliance and pre-compliance carbon, renewable energy attribute, renewable natural gas and energy efficiency markets. We are a diverse team of industry experts who are dedicated to integrity and excellence. As a result, Bluesource has been voted Environmental Finance’s Best Project Developer (All North American Markets) and Best Offset Originator (California Markets) for six consecutive years.

See our climate-related projects reduce 500,000,000 tCO2e, aiding in limiting the global temperature increase to 1.5 °C.
Contribute our time and financial resources to at least one initiative per year that restores or preserves future generations’ enjoyment of the outdoors as currently threatened by environmental degradation.
Consistently increase our company’s sustainable competitive advantage and grow our stakeholder value.
