Job Duties:        
As a Carbon Advisory Analyst, reporting to the Director of Advisory Services, you will join Bluesource’s Advisory team where your core focus will be the technical implementation on a range of projects. The projects you will participate in are supporting the increased environmental ambition of a variety of companies. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and integrity of environmental strategies, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory calculations and feasibility assessments for carbon offset project eligibility, amongst other duties. This role will allow you to take on significant responsibility supporting large-scale projects within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Core job duties include:

  1. Quantifying GHG inventories and product life cycle carbon emissions
  2. Completing technical feasibility studies for new technologies under existing carbon offset development systems
  3. Calculating carbon intensities for renewable natural gas
  4. Researching environmental technologies and clearly communicating results in multiple formats, memos, formal written reports and verbally through PowerPoint presentations
  5. Developing new carbon offset protocols and methodologies
  6. Assessing markets to help clients understand opportunities and challenges in specific carbon markets
  7. Supporting the development of proposals and market materials
  8. Compiling applications for relevant project awards, funding and conferences
  9. Organizing and attending relevant client meetings and events
  10. Contributing to a positive and enthusiastic office culture

You will have responsibility for the coordination and maintenance of several projects at a time and will support the growth of the technical capacity of the Advisory business unit.

Qualifications
We are seeking a person with at least an engineering, science, business or similar diploma or bachelor’s degree(s).

This position is best suited to a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and proven technical writing skills. The ability to work through ambiguity and communicate complex topics are highly valued in this fast-paced, collaborative role. Experience with anerobic digesters or on-farm technologies is a plus. Experience in consulting, project management or environmental markets is also desirable.
