Dave LaBarre

Dave LaBarre has been involved in the marketing and trading of energy products for over 20 years in addition to the marketing and trading of environment credits. From 1985 to 2001 Dave helped create and was a major principal with Canpet Energy Group Inc, a Calgary, Alberta based crude oil and liquids trading business. Representing over 230 production companies in Western Canada, Mr. LaBarre directed the activities for crude oil trading, logistics and risk management to their market area in North America. Since inception in 1985, Canpet consistently improved profitability on revenues exceeding $1 billion dollars annually. He left the company upon its sale in 2001 to a large U.S. based pipeline/facilities company. Along with Robert Andrews, Dave created Baseline Emissions Management in July 2003 subsequent to assisting Teletrips Inc. form the basis for their emission credit marketing. Dave has helped Baseline Emissions evolve into Blue Source Canada, leading the company towards becoming Canada’s largest and most active marketer of environmental credits.
