Erik Katz
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
Erik Katz is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Blue Source’s Portfolio Group and Carbon Infrastructure Investment Fund. Further, Erik is head of Corporate Strategy and Business Development and oversees Blue Source’s shareholder relations, including the strategic partnerships Blue Source has with Goldman Sachs, Och-Ziff Capital Management and First Reserve Corporation. Erik has 25 years industry experience, including most recently 17 years at The Blackstone Group as a Senior Managing Director focusing on M&A and private equity transactions. Prior Erik was with with CS First Boston’s Mergers & Acquisitions, Merchant Banking, and Product Development groups, as well as with Merrill Lynch and Nikko Securities’ asset management groups. Mr. Katz graduated magna cum laude from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a BBA in Finance and a BA in Japanese Language and Literature. Mr. Katz lives in New York with his wife, Deena, and four children.
