Matthew Harmer
Vice President & General Counsel
Matt Harmer has extensive experience, in both law firm and in-house environments, representing established public companies, private companies, and individuals. He is proficient in a variety of settings including transactional, corporate governance, securities, licensing, complex commercial litigation, and other matters. Prior to joining Blue Source, Matt served as in-house counsel for 1-800 CONTACTS, Inc., the largest independent online distributor of contact lenses in the United States, where he helped facilitate a private equity buyout valued at approximately $350 million. Prior to that, he was affiliated with Sony Electronics, Inc. and served as Assistant General Counsel at Iomega Corporation. Matt began his career at Parsons Behle & Latimer, Salt Lake City’s largest law firm, where he was elected a shareholder in 1998. Matt is a member of the California and Utah bar associations. When he’s not in the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Stacy, their five children, and exploring Utah’s beautiful outdoors.
